Using ink & watercolour on lightly textured watercolour paper, I use your reference photos to illustrate & paint my artistic representation of the beloved home.

The best materials

I only use professional-grade 100% cotton paper with a bright natural whiteness of archival quality. It’s subtle texture allows me to capture all the lovely details. And, vivid high-quality watercolours give a fresh distinctive look to my paintings.

A generous border

I include a large white border around your painting, to allow you more framing options. For example, the A5 painting on A4 paper option will sit happily in an A5 or A4 frame (and others, too) - depending on the effect you’re going for.

You get to choose how your House Portrait is finished - so you can find one to suit your taste and style

Straight Edge

I tape the edges and fill the surface with paint - producing a more traditional classic look. This style produces a painting that can be framed with or without the white border visible.

Organic Edge

I allow the watercolour to spread and diffuse, creating a wavy natural edge - meaning the white border becomes part of the painting. This contemporary style works best when framed to include the surrounding white border.
